Flash in a Pan is an Iowa City-based folk and bluegrass quartet formed in 2012. Known for sonorous vocal harmonies, energetic live shows, and a modern take on traditional string-band music, the group blends bluegrass and Americana influences into a sound that feels both classic and contemporary. 

The band has built a strong following across the Midwest, released two albums — Off The Rails and Folklore — and was named Iowa Public Radio’s Artist of the Month in 2024.
